Colour Wheels & Complimentary Colours…

Colour wheels are different colours and their shades placed opposite the one that compliments them in the form of a circle (wheel). You use a colour wheel by looking at one colour, and seeing which one is directly opposite it to work out which colours go together and compliment one another.

When planning my shoots in terms of backdrop and fashion styling, I am going to refer back to these colour wheels and charts to give myself a idea and better understanding of what colours I can pair with one another. For example, I will look at this and know that I could pair a red jumper against a green background and the colours would be bright and stand out against each other, but they will compliment one another at the same time.
